How to Install ITS/ITC Sensor with AirTouch 5?

AirTouch’s Intelligent Temperature Control (ITC) or Intelligent Temperature Sensors (ITS) are wireless devices that help improve energy efficiency and comfort by delivering real-time feedback to your system. They help eliminate hot and cold spots in your home and ensure your air conditioning only operates where needed.

These sensors are battery powered (3V CR2450) and require no additional cabling, making them quick and easy to install and pair in batches.

Step 1: Assign a Sensor to a Zone

Before pairing, assign each sensor to the zone where it will be placed:

  1. Remove the plastic cover from the sensor.

  2. Use the Zone Dial to select the corresponding zone number (1–F, 0 = Zone 16). This aligns with how zones are listed on the AirTouch Home Screen.
(You may need a small screwdriver to adjust the dial)

Replacing the Sensor Battery

  • Sensors use a 3V CR2450 battery, which typically lasts 1.5 to 2 years.

  • A Low Battery icon will appear near the zone name when replacement is needed.

  • If the battery dies and no other sensor is in the zone, the system will switch to % control for that group.

  • After removing the dead battery, press and hold the Pairing Button for 5 seconds to clear any residual charge.
