Why is my temperature and humidity reading not measured correctly?

If your AirTouch Beam is displaying incorrect or inconsistent temperature and humidity readings, several factors could be affecting the sensor accuracy. Use the checklist below to troubleshoot and improve measurement reliability.

Possible Causes and Recommended Solutions

1. Check for Firmware Updates

  • An outdated firmware version may affect the performance of the temperature and humidity sensors.

  • Solution: Go to Settings > Devices > Software Update and ensure your AirTouch Beam is running the latest firmware.

2. Refresh the Home Screen

  • Sometimes, the app may not immediately display the most recent sensor data.

  • Solution: Pull down or refresh the Home screen in the app to update the displayed values.

3. Allow Time After Reset or Restart

  • After a reset or power cycle, the device may require some time to recalibrate the sensors.

  • Solution: Wait up to 1 hour for temperature and humidity values to stabilise after a device reboot or factory reset.

4. Review the Installation Environment

  • Environmental factors can interfere with sensor readings, such as:

    • Direct sunlight

    • Proximity to heat sources (e.g., ovens, stoves, or heaters)

    • Nearby electronics or appliances that emit heat

    • Poor airflow or confined spaces

  • Solution: Ensure your AirTouch Beam is installed in a well-ventilated area, out of direct sunlight, and away from heat-emitting appliances.
