Why is my home WiFi is not showing when adding it to the AirTouch Beam app?
If your home Wi-Fi network is not appearing in the AirTouch Beam app during setup, several factors could be causing the issue. Follow the steps below to identify and resolve the problem.
Possible Causes and Solutions
1. 2.4GHz Wi-Fi Requirement
-
AirTouch Beam only supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi networks.
-
The app automatically filters available networks to show only compatible 2.4GHz connections.
-
If your router is set to 5GHz only, or on a merged SSID (combined 2.4GHz/5GHz), your network may not appear.
Solution: Ensure your router is broadcasting a 2.4GHz signal and that it's not hidden or merged with the 5GHz band.
2. Wait and Refresh the Network List
-
After a factory reset, the AirTouch Beam may take a few moments to initialise and begin scanning nearby networks.
Solution:
-
Wait 10 seconds, then tap the Wi-Fi dropdown in the app again to refresh the list.
-
Ensure the device is powered on and not obstructed.
3. Check Router Distance and Signal Strength
-
If your router is far from the device or the signal is weak, Beam may not detect the network.
Solution:
-
Move the AirTouch Beam closer to your Wi-Fi router during setup.
-
Ensure the Wi-Fi signal is strong and stable.
4. Enter Wi-Fi Credentials Manually
-
If your network still doesn’t appear, you can manually connect.
To Do This:
-
Tap “Connect to a Different Network” in the app.
-
Enter your Wi-Fi SSID and password manually.
-
Ensure the details are 100% accurate, including case sensitivity.
Note: If the connection fails, the device will blink red four times. In that case, perform a factory reset and try again.
If your network still doesn’t appear or if manual entry fails repeatedly, contact the AirTouch Support Team for further assistance.
