Why can't I see the QR Code?

When setting up your AirTouch Beam device, the app will prompt you to scan a QR code to begin pairing. If you’re unable to scan or see the QR code, there may be a few possible reasons:

1. Camera Permissions

  • Ensure the AirTouch Beam app has permission to access your device’s camera. You can check and enable this in your phone’s app settings.

2. Device Readiness

  • Make sure your AirTouch Beam is powered on and in pairing mode. The LED indicator should be blinking cyan.
  • You can confirm this by checking your phone’s Wi-Fi list for a network named:
    AT BEAM [XXXXXX]

3. QR Code Detection Issues

If the QR code is visible but not being detected by the app, try the following:

  • Adjust the lighting: Ensure there is enough light, but avoid glare or heavy shadows.

  • Use a plain background: Place your QR code (from the device or quick start guide) on a flat, uncluttered surface.

  • Stabilize your device: Keep your hand steady. Resting your elbow or placing the phone on a solid surface may help.

  • Align your camera: Make sure the camera is level with and directly facing the QR code.

  • Adjust distance: Start at a medium distance and slowly move your phone closer or farther until it focuses.

  • Clean your lens: Wipe the camera lens gently with a soft cloth to ensure clarity.

4. Your AirTouch Beam is already mounted

  • Already mounted your Beam? No need to take it down. Scan the QR code in your quick start guide, or tap Enter Code Manually in the AirTouch Beam app and pick your Beam from the list.
