Who are AirTouch Beam Owners and Users?

In the AirTouch Beam system, there are two primary roles: Owners and Users. These roles define the level of access and control over the devices and locations within the app.

Owners

  • Definition: Owners are the individuals who create a location within the AirTouch Beam app. The location represents the physical space where AirTouch devices are used (e.g., your home).

  • Permissions: Owners have full control over the location and can manage all devices within it. They also have the ability to share the location with others.

  • Key Responsibilities:

    • Add and remove devices within the location.

    • Manage settings and configurations for devices.

    • Send invitations to users (shared users) to join the location.

Users (Shared Users)

  • Definition: Users are individuals who have been invited by an Owner to access a specific location. Users can be granted access to the devices available in that location.

  • Permissions: While Users can control and interact with the devices, they cannot modify location settings or add/remove devices. Their access is determined by the Owner’s preferences.

  • Key Features for Users:

    • Control devices: Users can operate all devices in the shared location.

    • View and modify settings: Depending on the Owner’s permissions, Users may have limited ability to adjust device settings.

Sharing Locations

  • The Owner can share the location with multiple Users, and each User will have access to the same devices and settings available in that location.

  • Users cannot share the location with others, but they can interact with the devices and enjoy all the functionality granted by the Owner.
