Who are AirTouch Beam Owners and Users?
In the AirTouch Beam system, there are two primary roles: Owners and Users. These roles define the level of access and control over the devices and locations within the app.
Owners
-
Definition: Owners are the individuals who create a location within the AirTouch Beam app. The location represents the physical space where AirTouch devices are used (e.g., your home).
-
Permissions: Owners have full control over the location and can manage all devices within it. They also have the ability to share the location with others.
-
Key Responsibilities:
-
Add and remove devices within the location.
-
Manage settings and configurations for devices.
-
Send invitations to users (shared users) to join the location.
-
Users (Shared Users)
-
Definition: Users are individuals who have been invited by an Owner to access a specific location. Users can be granted access to the devices available in that location.
-
Permissions: While Users can control and interact with the devices, they cannot modify location settings or add/remove devices. Their access is determined by the Owner’s preferences.
-
Key Features for Users:
-
Control devices: Users can operate all devices in the shared location.
-
View and modify settings: Depending on the Owner’s permissions, Users may have limited ability to adjust device settings.
-
Sharing Locations
-
The Owner can share the location with multiple Users, and each User will have access to the same devices and settings available in that location.
-
Users cannot share the location with others, but they can interact with the devices and enjoy all the functionality granted by the Owner.
