Understanding the Difference Between AirTouch and ZoneMaster / ZoneTouch Controllers

AirTouch vs ZoneTouch. Understanding thedifference.

Answering a Common Enquiry About Our Controllers

One question we’re often asked is:

What’s the difference between the AirTouch range and the ZoneMaster or ZoneTouch controllers?

In simple terms:

  • ZoneMaster is a range of zone controllers designed to adjust the volume of conditioned air flowing into different rooms or zones of your home. However, they need to work alongside your existing air conditioner control pad.

  • AirTouch, on the other hand, is a fully integrated smart controller. It gives you control not only over zones, but also over your entire air conditioning system, including temperature, mode, fan speed, timers, and more. All from a sleek touch panel or smartphone app.

Adjusting the Conditioned Air

Zoning is a popular upgrade for air conditioning systems. It allows you to turn the airflow on or off, or adjust it in different areas of your home. We like to think of zoning like a light switch, you wouldn’t use one switch for the entire house, so why should it be that way for your air conditioning?

You have a couple of options:

  • ZoneSwitch – a physical switch panel that turns airflow fully on or off in each zone.

  • ZoneTouch – a touchscreen controller that allows on/off control or incremental adjustments for more refined comfort.

Fully Integrated, Smart Control

AirTouch goes beyond basic zoning. It offers complete control of both your zones and the AC unit from a single interface, either on the wall console or through the app.

You can:

  • Change temperature, fan speed, and mode

  • Control airflow to individual zones

  • Set timers, create favourites, and customise programs
