How to Set Up Energy Wastage Alerts on AirTouch 5?

AirTouch 5 includes an Energy Wastage Alert feature that notifies you of sudden temperature changes, like when a door or window is left open. Helping you save energy and maintain comfort.

Requires AirTouch 5 with Intelligent Temperature Sensors monitoring the affected zones.

What Are Energy Wastage Alerts?

If a zone’s temperature changes suddenly, AirTouch 5 will send a real-time alert to your phone. This helps you act quickly, reduce energy waste, and avoid unnecessary strain on your air conditioning system.

How to Set Up Energy Wastage Alerts on the Console

Follow these steps on your AirTouch 5 wall-mounted console:

  1. Open the Quick Menu
Tap the three horizontal lines icon in the top right corner of the screen.

  2. Go to Settings
Navigate through the system settings to access more advanced options.

  3. Select “Smarts”
This section contains intelligent features for smarter climate control.

  4. Choose the “Alerts” Sub-option
Here you’ll find the Energy Wastage Alert setting.

  5. Toggle On “Energy Wastage Alerts”
Once enabled, AirTouch 5 will begin monitoring for abrupt temperature changes and notify you accordingly.

Enable Mobile Notifications

To receive alerts on your smart device, ensure that notifications are allowed for the AirTouch 5 App.

Example Use Case

Imagine it’s a 40°C day, and someone forgets to close the back door. AirTouch 5 will detect the sudden temperature rise in that zone and alert you via your phone, giving you a chance to close the door before the air conditioner goes into overdrive trying to cool the space.

This simple yet powerful feature ensures your system works smarter, not harder.

Bonus Tip: Explore Temperature Alerts

While setting up energy wastage alerts, you may also want to explore the Temperature Alerts feature in the same section, this can notify you when a zone reaches a specific temperature threshold (high or low), helping you maintain a comfortable environment at all times.
