How to Connect AirTouch 2 or 3 to WiFi?

AirTouch 2 and AirTouch 3 offer convenient smart control of your air conditioning system through both local WiFi and secure remote access via the internet. To unlock this functionality, you’ll first need to connect your AirTouch panel to your home WiFi network (2.4GHz only).

This guide walks you through the step-by-step process to get connected.

Step-by-Step: Connecting AirTouch 2 or 3 to WiFi

Before You Start:

Make sure the 2.4GHz WiFi band is enabled on your home router. AirTouch 2 and 3 do not support 5GHz networks.

1. Open the WiFi Setup Screen

  • On the AirTouch panel, tap User, then select WiFi.

  • This will open the WiFi Setup screen.

2. Check Current Connection

  • If the panel is already connected to a WiFi network, its SSID will appear ticked in the list.

3. Choose How to Connect

You have two options:

  • Scan for Networks:
Tap Scan to search for available WiFi networks.

  • Manual Entry:
Tap Other to manually input your WiFi network’s SSID.

If your SSID is known, you can start typing it into the SSID field. The on-screen keyboard will appear, input a few characters, then tap Enter to confirm.

4. Select or Enter Network

  • From the scan results, tap the name of your desired network.

  • If your network doesn’t appear, return to manual entry and input it directly.

5. Enter WiFi Password

  • Tap the password field to bring up the keyboard.

  • Enter your WiFi password, then tap Enter to confirm.

AirTouch supports WEP, WPA, and WPA2 WiFi encryption.

6. Connect

  • Tap Connect to join the network.

  • The system will display “Connecting”, then change to “Connected” once successful.

  • A WiFi icon will appear in the status bar when connected.

What If My WiFi Settings Change?

AirTouch 2 and 3 will stay connected permanently, unless:

  • The network name (SSID) is changed

  • The WiFi password is updated

  • Security settings are changed

  • MAC address filtering is enabled on the router

If any of these changes occur, simply repeat the above steps to reconnect.

After a power outage, your AirTouch system will automatically reconnect once your router is back online
