How to add AirTouch Beam to the Apple HomeKit, Google Home or Amazon Alexa?
AirTouch Beam supports integration with other Matter-compatible smart home platforms such as Apple HomeKit, Google Home, and Amazon Alexa. To connect AirTouch Beam to one of these platforms, you must first open the commissioning window by restarting the device.
Step 1: Restart AirTouch Beam to Open Commissioning Window
To begin pairing with a Matter controller (e.g., Apple HomeKit, Google Home, or Amazon Alexa), you need to restart the AirTouch Beam device:
-
Option 1: Unplug the device from the power supply, wait 5 seconds, and then plug it back in.
-
Option 2: From the AirTouch Beam app, go to:
Settings > Devices > Tap “Reboot Device”
Important: Once the device restarts, there is only a 10-second window to initiate pairing with your home hub.
Step 2: Add the Device in the Home Hub App
After restarting the device, follow the instructions in the respective home hub app to complete the pairing process:
-
Apple HomeKit: View Instructions
-
Google Home: View Instructions
-
Amazon Alexa: View Instructions
Step 3: Add Device to AirTouch Beam App
Even if you connect AirTouch Beam to another Matter Controller, it is mandatory to also add it to the AirTouch Beam app in order to assign an AC profile and access full functionality.
If you initially add the device to another home hub without adding it to the AirTouch Beam app, you’ll need to complete the pairing afterward by following these steps:
-
Ensure the AirTouch Beam app and device are on the same WiFi network.
-
Open the AirTouch Beam app.
-
On the Home screen, your newly added device will appear at the top.
-
Tap on the device to begin assigning an AC profile.
